Nivalis Nights Update 4 Overhauls Venue Management and Performance
The latest Nivalis Nights update targets late-game venue management struggles with new restocking controls, budget limits, and inventory fixes. It also introduces performance optimizations, new graphics options, and autosave limits to reduce crashes.
Nivalis Nights update 4 is live, bringing major changes to venue management and late-game stability. Late-game players dealing with bleeding funds and frustrating restocking loops now have granular controls for each venue. Developers also rolled out memory management improvements and bug fixes to combat crashes and stuttering.
Venue Management Controls
The venue overview window now includes dedicated Venue Management Settings. Players can set individual restocking targets, daily budgets, and toggle top-left HUD notifications. Available supply targets include Lean at two items per ingredient, Normal at five items, Extra at ten items, and Recent Sales based on sales volume over the last four in-game hours with a minimum of two. The shopping list now accurately reflects these targets. Automatic restock objectives only trigger when stock hits zero. Additionally, ingredient transfer windows now show whether items are actively used in menu items, and recipe changes are isolated to player-owned or rented venues rather than applying globally.
Inventory and Economy Fixes
An issue where ingredients set aside for canceled customer orders were permanently lost has been resolved, returning unused items directly to storage. Stacked-up deliveries now clean up automatically, routing excess items to the main inventory or selling them if space is unavailable. Negative reviews tied to canceled visits have been reduced, and chef action speed scaling, cleaner performance scaling, and venue finance displays are now functioning properly.
Performance and Memory Optimizations
The update tackles late-game stuttering by streamlining shopping lists and venue restock updates. Memory management has been rewritten to prevent crashes during city travel. When system memory runs low, the game unloads the previous area before loading a new one, increasing transition times slightly to protect stability. Taxi transitions and cinematic assets now release memory immediately after use.
New Graphics Settings and Quality of Life
Four new graphics options arrive with this patch: Crowd Density to adjust background character counts, Hybrid CPU Optimization for Intel processors with mixed core layouts, a toggle for Pooling to manage memory, and Thunder Intensity to tone down lightning flashes. Gameplay settings now include a Quest Marker Filtering toggle to hide untracked quests, distinct vendor map icons, and an autosave cap that retains up to seven rotating saves.
Why this patch matters
Update 4 addresses the most punishing late-game economic traps in Nivalis Nights while giving players the tools needed to automate venues reliably. Combined with memory fixes, the game runs cleaner and demands less micromanagement.
