Nivalis Nights Patch Adjusts NPC Hunger, Quests, and Crop Materials
Nivalis Nights receives a new patch focusing on NPC behavior, quest softlocks, and visual fixes. Non-player characters now restore hunger every six game hours, and greenhouse crop materials match the game's pixelated shader.
A new update for Nivalis Nights addresses customer behavior loops, quest progression blockers, and lighting issues across multiple districts. The changes alter how non-player characters manage their daily needs, specifically targeting hunger recovery rates.
NPC Hunger and Daily Schedule
Non-player characters now restore their hunger every six game hours. A timing error previously caused hunger to recover much slower than intended, which also impacted sleeping patterns. This fix means players should expect a large morning rush as customer hunger levels peak simultaneously at the start of the day. A visual bug that showed unhappy smileys after a customer finished eating without leaving a review is also fixed.
Quest and Softlock Fixes
Progression blockers tied to specific character interactions are resolved. The conditional softlock during Ava's quest involving R.M.Alken and Dr Matombo is removed. Dagmar's Sabotage quest no longer leaves a permanent popularity debuff after completion. Additionally, a bug that caused the player character to remain stuck following certain dialogue sequences is fixed.
Visual and UI Updates
Greenhouse crop materials receive an update to match the game's pixelated shader style. Lightmap corrections are applied to SkyHigh Gardens, the Oil Rig, Sewers, and Seaside Boardwalk. Farming modules now clearly mark the last planted crop in both the greenhouse module list and the module radial menu.
Why this patch matters
The Nivalis Nights update smooths out economic and scheduling loops by fixing underlying NPC timers, removing frustrating quest locks, and cleaning up asset lighting.
