Neva Update Introduces Chase Skips and Platform Tweaks

Neva receives a quality of life update that adds story mode chase skips, high-contrast menus, and adjusted platform mechanics. The patch also addresses progression bugs and navigation issues across multiple chapters.

A new update for Neva tackles player frustration by adding targeted accessibility options, menu customization, and bug fixes across the game chapters. Players can now skip specific chase sequences in Story Mode and take advantage of forgiving platforming adjustments.

Story Mode and Platform Adjustments

Players struggling with specific setpieces can skip the three chase sequences in Story Mode directly from the pause menu, located in Chapter 1 Part 2, the end of Chapter 2 Part 1, and the ride chase sequence at the end of Chapter 3 Part 1. Platforming is more forgiving as flowers in Chapter 2 Part 2 stay open longer, invisible platforms in Chapter 3 Part 1 remain slightly visible upon landing, and the ghost enemy after the totem propels players higher when defeated.

Accessibility and Interface Additions

The patch introduces menu options including language selection and grain intensity adjustments for graphics. Visual aids feature high-contrast tutorials with bolder fonts and less transparency, alongside on-screen and off-screen wolf bark indicators for hearing-impaired players. Alba remains permanently visible with slight transparency to prevent players from losing track of her position.

Chapter Navigation and Bug Fixes

Several progression bugs and soft-locks are resolved. In Chapter 3 Part 1, the black wolf moves toward the active goal instead of the center if players explore the right side first. Respawn points are adjusted in the Final Birds Arena and Chapter 2 Part 2 to prevent tricky glitches and invisible fog respawns. Input plugins are updated to add DualSense features for PC users, and chapter selection menus hide total collectibles until the final part of a chapter is reached.

Why this patch matters

This update addresses community friction points by offering practical ways to bypass frustrating setpieces and improve visual clarity without altering the core adventure.
