Mordhau Patch 30 Introduces Demon Horde Maps and Banisher Weapon Pack
Mordhau Patch 30 brings back Horde maps into rotation alongside four new Demon Horde maps set in warped variations of Grad, Contraband, Feitoria, and Taiga. The update also introduces the Banisher Weapon Pack DLC, improves bear trap and banner mechanics, and implements various gameplay quality-of-life fixes.
Mordhau's Patch 30 expands cooperative gameplay by reintroducing Horde maps to the active rotation and debuting four supernatural Demon Horde variants. Alongside the demonic map redesigns, developers have added a cosmetic weapon pack DLC and rolled out targeted fixes for structure interactions and player mobility.
New Demon Horde Maps and Rotation
Horde maps officially return to the rotation alongside four new Demon Horde variants. Players can battle through a blight-infested Grad overtaken by twisted roots, the ethereal environment of Contraband, a Feitoria warped by a demonic comet shower, and a Taiga forest village corrupted by nearby mining activity. Boss spawn blockages and first-point navigation issues on Castello have also been resolved.
Gameplay and Structure Adjustments
Bear traps no longer trigger on players immediately upon spawning, nor do they trigger on nobles or players utilizing the Rat Perk. Bear trap softlocks on ladders have been fixed. Spawn Banners receive several updates, including dynamic icon changes while being constructed or blocked by enemies, added directional spawning matching the banner placement, and new enemy spawn banner icons on the spawn screen. Additionally, toolboxes no longer fail to destroy buildables when switching teams.
Weapons, Sounds, and DLC
The Banisher Weapon Pack DLC launches with 12 demonic weapon skins spanning items like Eden's Zweihander and the Maul of Redemption. Weapon balance updates include added throwing mechanics for utility items like the Hoe, Pitchfork, and Rake, alongside horizontal cleaving throws for the Falx and Scythe. Smoke bomb view distances are increased, and fire field visuals now fade out gradually instead of popping out of existence.
Why this patch matters
Patch 30 revitalizes Mordhau's cooperative mode with themed maps and fixes persistent annoyances regarding traps and banner placement.
