Marvel Rivals Version 20250411 Patch Notes: Hellfire Gala Update
Marvel Rivals version 20250411 kicks off Season 2.0 with the Hellfire Gala event, featuring Emma Frost, a new Domination map, rank resets, and technical additions like AMD FSR 4 and experimental shader compilation. The patch also adjusts individual performance weighting in competitive matches and reorganizes global tournament regions.
NetEase has deployed a massive update for Marvel Rivals, launching Season 2.0 alongside the Hellfire Gala event, competitive restructuring, new character additions, and major performance options for PC players.
Heroes, Maps, and Events
Emma Frost makes her debut alongside two new costumes: X-Revolution and Blue Sapphire. An all-new Domination map, Hellfire Gala: Krakoa, enters the active competitive pool while Yggsgard: Royal Palace and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya rotate out of ranked play. Season 2 introduces a fresh Battle Pass with 10 costume sets, the Cerebro Database event for the Mantis Flora Maiden costume, and a Twitch Drops campaign for Namor's Will of Galacta cosmetics. Quick Match substitute logic has been updated so victories count normally while losses leave combat history and scoreboards unaffected.
Ranked and Competitive Changes
Ranked progression undergoes a substantial reset, dropping all players by nine divisions based on their final Season 1.5 rank. Competitive access now requires account level 15, though players who finished at least one prior competitive match are exempt. Pick and ban mechanics now begin at Gold III rather than Diamond tier. Matches featuring Eternity or One Above All players are restricted to solo or duo queues. Furthermore, individual player performance carries heavier weight in determining match score gains and losses. Reaching Gold rewards players with the Emma Frost Golden Diamond costume, alongside new Crests of Honor for high-tier ranks.
PC Graphics and Experimental Features
PC players gain support for AMD FSR 4 using AI-accelerated upscaling, exclusive to AMD Radeon RX 9000 series cards. An experimental Switch Shader Compilation Mode has been added to reduce memory usage and in-game stuttering, particularly beneficial for systems with 16 GB of RAM or less. The update also rectifies low brightness rendering issues on the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card.
Hero Adjustments and Bug Fixes
Captain America can now ricochet enemy projectiles while moving backward. Namor's ultimate ability no longer fails to deal damage against raising pillars on the Super-Soldier Factory map. Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) ascends correctly during his ultimate under unstable network conditions, and Iron Fist, Wolverine, Cloak & Dagger, and Adam Warlock have received fixes for various animation loops, camera anomalies, and ability lockouts.
Tournaments and Faction Systems
The Marvel Rivals Championship enters its second season with dynamic nameplates, revised sign-ups, and restructured global regions now classified as Americas, EMEA, and Pacific. Custom game tournament rooms gain pause and spectator features, and a new Faction Recruit and Seeking Factions system lets players build squads for upcoming events.
Why this patch matters
Version 20250411 is a sweeping seasonal transition that redefines competitive matchmaking, adds foundational AMD graphics support, and introduces substantial hero balance fixes.
