Knightstones Demo Update Adds Endgame Difficulty and Order Management Tutorials
Knightstones receives a major demo update for Steam Next Fest, adding the Inquisitorial Might difficulty modifier, hammer upgrades, and bug fixes.
Knightstones launches a major demo update ahead of Steam Next Fest, bringing new progression systems, tutorial additions, and balance adjustments to the strategy title.
New Features and Progression
The Moon Goddess gains Inquisitorial Might, allowing experienced players to increase game difficulty after winning a run. Players can also upgrade the hammer at the Moon Goddess. Order Management is now locked until the player wins a battle during their first run, accompanied by a new tutorial for the system.
Unit Balancing
Basic enemy units receive slight nerfs. The Bishop's effect is reworked to summon a weaker unit each turn.
Bug Fixes
Catapults can no longer fire twice in a row. Defeated troops immediately leave the battlefield instead of lingering for several seconds. Tin Blade equipment generation aligns with stated values, and the troop renaming window is fixed. Input tooltips for the Order window no longer display none, and French text translation errors are corrected.
Why this patch matters
The update makes the early game more approachable for new players via structured tutorials while giving veterans a way to scale up difficulty.
