Iron Nest Patch 8 Adds Guarding the Strait Mission and Requisition Fixes

Iron Nest introduces a new skirmish mission set in the Strait of Gibraltar alongside numerous bug fixes. The update resolves issues with requisition credit resets, map navigation, and unrealistic medal requirements.

High Command has issued new orders for Iron Nest operators. Patch 8 brings a fresh skirmish mission to the Strait of Gibraltar and tackles several persistent community complaints regarding mission flow and statistics tracking.

New Skirmish Content

Operators can now access Guarding the Strait, a free skirmish assignment focused on vessel identification and target engagement. Developer Nick and Dominik confirm this release kicks off a new phase of post-launch content centered on additional skirmish modes, with another mission scheduled for late October 2026.

Progression and Medal Fixes

Several quality-of-life adjustments target frustrating progression blockers. The update fixes an issue where entering certain missions wiped out requisition credits. It also lowers multiple medal requirements that were previously set too high or proved impossible to achieve at gold rank.

Combat and Mission Logic

Shells fired prior to using an emergency move no longer trigger the counter battery timer incorrectly. In Mission 13, additional incendiary fires and projectile shots no longer interfere with the player accuracy stat or register as friendly fire for medal calculations. Furthermore, a rare spawn error in the Rock of Gibraltar mission that misplaced players inland is now fixed.

Interface and Map Navigation

Clicking the campaign map in the middle of a mission now correctly quits the session instead of locking up. The patch also corrects incorrect newspaper titles and subtitles that appeared after completing skirmish missions.

Why this patch matters

Patch 8 delivers requested content alongside necessary balance fixes, signaling a steady shift toward regular skirmish additions for the community.
