inZOI v0.5.0 Update Adds Business Management, Crime Systems, and Holiday Festival
The v0.5.0 update for inZOI introduces holiday events, player-run businesses, criminal activities, trials, multitasking, and new skills. Players can manage cafes and restaurants, commit crimes, or participate in limited-time city park festivities.
The v0.5.0 update for inZOI arrives with build version 20251222.9464.W on Windows PC Steam and 20251222.9465.M on Mac Steam. This patch introduces major gameplay additions, including player-run businesses, criminal career paths, court trials, multitasking, and a seasonal holiday festival.
Holiday Festival and Seasonal Events
A limited-time Holiday Festival runs in city main parks until midnight on January 31, 2026. Central Park in Dowon, Liberty Square in Bliss Bay, and Barat Beach in Cahaya feature choir carol performances from 12:15 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Special booths offer winter snacks, gift boxes with limited edition building items, and cookie crafting kits. Accepting the festival announcement text message delivers five starter gift boxes to your home, while midnight drops provide additional building items. Weather during the event remains fixed, though players can trigger snow via the City Map.
Business Ownership and Management
Zois can now open and run independent businesses using specific presets for cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and bars. Households can own multiple businesses independently of residential properties. Players can hire acquaintances or household members as employees, negotiate salaries, and assign roles based on cooking or rhetoric skills. Establishments operate on set hours, after which profits, total income, and expenses are logged in the Profit Summary menu. Customer satisfaction fluctuates based on furniture quality, pricing tiers, service speed, and employee responsiveness.
Crime and Court Trials
Young Adult and older Zois can pursue criminal careers as thieves or scammers. Thieves can pick or break down locks, open safes, and disable security cameras, with success tied to Handiwork, Programming, and Fitness skills. Scammers rely on Rhetoric and Critical Thinking for voice phishing and fake seminars. Witnesses report crimes to the police, raising the perpetrator's crime score and risking fines or custody. Zois caught with high crime scores face arrest, can post bail, appoint defense lawyers, and stand trial in new court properties, where strategic choices during opportunity cards affect sentencing.
Multitasking and Group Mechanics
Group interactions allow Zois to prioritize conversations and cooperative actions with squad members, such as applauding and cheering. Multitasking is now supported for specific simultaneous actions, including talking while eating, using computers, or reading books, and eating while watching TV. Pathfinding updates help conversing Zois sit facing each other. Skill progression rates have also been increased across the board to reduce the time required to level up attributes.
New Skills, Characteristics, and Properties
The Baking and Drink Mixing skills allow Zois to produce standalone desserts and beverages using new ovens and mixers. The new Workaholic characteristic drives Zois to feel anxious when out of work. New flower shops and construction-locked theaters have been added to cities, alongside family-size recipes, hovercrafts, and jet skis. Residential properties in middle-class tiers or higher feature reduced purchase prices across select locations in Dowon and Bliss Bay.
