inZOI Hotfix v0.1.5 Overhauls Lighting and Fixes Save Corruption

inZOI Hotfix v0.1.5 introduces build mode camera updates, shadow casting for streetlights and furniture, and critical save corruption fixes. The update also resolves career progression stalls, ambition tracking bugs, and adjusts animal feeding requirements.

The inZOI development team has deployed hotfix v0.1.5, focusing on visual fidelity through new shadow casting options and resolving critical progression blockers related to saves, careers, and ambitions.

Visuals and Build Mode

Build mode receives a default camera usability update alongside a new free camera supporting WASD controls. Shadow casting is now enabled by default for streetlights, togglable via Options, Graphics, Custom, Streetlight Shadows. Furniture lighting shadows can also be activated individually for select ceiling and floor lamps in Build Mode. A realistic shadow option has been added to sharpen shadow quality at the cost of performance.

Save State and Progression Fixes

A save corruption bug caused by exiting Map Mode with the ESC key and transitioning to the lobby before saves completed has been resolved. Zoi lifespans now shift each time the game resumes to prevent repeated deaths at the same age. Non-interactive career experience accumulation beyond the second rank has been fixed, and several tracking issues across the Notorious Villain, Pursuit of Love, and Philanthropist ambitions have been corrected.

Interactions and UI Adjustments

Karma requirements for feeding cats and pandas have been removed, allowing feeding interactions at any time. Vertical camera key bindings in default mode have been updated to match on-screen UI with E for up and Q for down. Player-created households now sort to the top of the family list, and a crash warning popup has been added for Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.

Why this patch matters

Hotfix v0.1.5 tackles essential stability problems while giving players deeper graphical customization options for lighting and camera movement.
