Hunt: Showdown 1896 Update 2.2 Bug Fixes and Quality of Life Improvements
Alongside major content additions, Update 2.2 for Hunt: Showdown 1896 addresses dozens of bugs spanning audio mismatches, visual glitches, and navigation errors. Quality-of-life updates improve menu persistence, filter settings, and regional matchmaking responsiveness.
A comprehensive list of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements accompanies Update 2.2 for Hunt: Showdown 1896, targeting persistent UI snags, audio bugs, and environment collision issues.
Audio and Sound Correction
Incorrect audio triggers are resolved across multiple interactions, including hitting an immolator with a baseball bat and missing lobby animations for tier 1 hunters. Stalker beetle inspect sounds no longer echo across the entire map, and dark dynamite satchels remain audible even if placed outside standard initial ranges. Boss hud sounds and underwater muffled audio bugs for Rotjaw are also corrected.
Interface and Loadout Enhancements
Saved filters and sorting preferences now persist properly across screens and sessions. Region changes apply instantly without requiring a game restart. Loadout modifications save reliably, and shortcuts are added for faster loadout access on hunter details and recruit screens. KDA stats now appear on team overlays, and player names display correctly during equipment inspection.
World and AI Collision Fixes
Environmental exploits and navigation snags in Mammon's Gulch and Stillwater Bayou are patched, including issues where AI characters became stuck in doorways or on environmental edges. Hellborn gains five new potential spawn locations in Mammon's Gulch. Missing anti-aliasing options return to settings, and shadow-disabling exploits are closed.
General Stability and Exploits
Rare crashes and freezes occurring during matches or startup sequences are resolved. An exploit where players could duplicate throwing knives, axes, bolts, and arrows upon impact is fixed. Issues preventing players from selling items or hiring hunters despite having sufficient funds are cleared up, and weekly challenge progress no longer resets unexpectedly.
Why this patch matters
These targeted fixes resolve inventory headaches and environmental hitches, creating a stable experience across both menus and matches.
