Hunt: Showdown 1896 Blood Testament Chapter 2 Patch Notes

The Inferno Time of Day returns to Hunt: Showdown 1896 with shifting wildfires and new tactical gear. Chapter 2 also introduces the All Hallow’s Cleave community event, dangerous new monsters, and map-altering Tarot Cards.

Chapter 2 of Blood Testament brings back the Inferno Time of Day alongside the All Hallow’s Cleave community event. Players must navigate blazing paths, hunt new creature variants, and unlock powerful utility items across all maps.

The Inferno and Environmental Hazards

The Inferno Time of Day returns to the rotation for Chapters 2 and 3, blanketing maps in heavy smoke and stationary wildfires that block primary traversal routes. Firefighter Supply caches appear exclusively during this condition, guaranteeing the drop of the scarce Flame Rifle, which releases a steady burst of pressurized liquid flames. AI targets generally avoid the flames, but enemies can still chase players through or across active fires. Alongside the Inferno, Bileweavers return to infest 20 compounds per map, while deadlier Bloodweavers emerge during the Blood Moon Time of Day to inflict Bleeding damage with jump attacks and egg-hatching.

All Hallow’s Cleave Community Event

The new community event spans five stages driven by player match objectives. Reaching Stage 1 unlocks the Atlas Tarot Card, which reveals all hidden locations on the map. Stage 3 introduces the Temperance Tarot Card, which restores the last trait lost by a hunter during the mission, including traits lost to Siphon mechanics as well as burn traits. Stage 5 adds the Long Derringer, a single-shot tool pistol firing Long Ammo that deals high damage at short to medium range with reduced velocity and a short drop range.

Why this patch matters

Chapter 2 disrupts standard navigation with predictable environmental blocks and rewards active participation in the community event with powerful map-clearing tools and trait recovery options.
