Halloween: The Game Patch 1.1.0 Adjusts Match Pacing and Adds DLSS-G Support

The first major quality-of-life update for Halloween: The Game arrives with matchmaking adjustments, performance upgrades, and combat tweaks. Patch 1.1.0 targets escape reliability, stun locks, and late-game tracking for Michael.

Halloween: The Game has received its first quality-of-life update, bringing performance improvements, combat adjustments, and rule changes designed to slow down match pacing. Patch 1.1.0 addresses community feedback by tweaking escape routes, altering Michael's bloodthirst progression, and fixing several hardware-specific crashes across PC and consoles.

Match Pacing and Escape Adjustments

Storm Cellar and Gate escapes have been modified to reduce early match rushing. Storm Cellar escape capacity and Gate capacity are reduced, and storm cellars require more time to clear overgrowth. Escape discovery distance now scales with match time, while the total spawn amounts for Bolt Cutters, Gas Cans, and Escape Keys are reduced. Conversely, fuse spawns and minimum escape blockers on storm cellars have been increased.

Killer Tuning and Combat Changes

Michael's bloodthirst progression requires higher thresholds per level, with stalking and executions granting larger gains than basic kills. Bloodthirst tiers 2 and 3 provide smaller damage and attack speed increases, and shape jump visibility and movement speed are reduced at lower tiers. For survivors, melee hit stagger and stumble cooldowns are increased, while the slow effect from taking damage is reduced. Hatchet and meat cleaver attack combos feature longer delays between initial strikes.

Late Game Stalking Updates

To assist Michael during late-game hunts, targets hiding inside lockers or hiding spots automatically become stalked during the final 60 seconds of a match or when Michael receives the objective to finish off Haddonfield. Stalked targets are visible inside hiding spots when these conditions are met.

Performance and Technical Fixes

PC players gain DLSS-G support, precompiled shaders at startup, and optimized CPU and GPU performance across all maps. Xbox Series S stability is improved alongside volumetric fog enablement. The patch also addresses multiple crash sources tied to AMD hardware, Story Mode, execution cinematics, and Xbox Quick Resume.

Why this patch matters

Patch 1.1.0 reins in fast escapes and oppressive stun loops while giving Michael better tools to close out matches, resulting in a more deliberate gameplay loop.
