Goodboy Galaxy v1.2 PC Update Fixes Input Bugs and Multiplayer Glitches

Goodboy Galaxy receives a new PC patch addressing control fallbacks, achievement triggers, and localization text issues. Version 1.2 also cleans up multiplayer stats, camera traps, and UI bugs.

A fresh PC update for Goodboy Galaxy tackles a variety of smaller bugs and quality-of-life snags. Version 1.2 focuses heavily on cleaning up multiplayer tracking, fixing missable achievements, and smoothing out controller remapping quirks.

Controls and Input Fixes

Players who remap their controls encounter fewer roadblocks after this update. Horizontal stick directions now correctly act as fallbacks if left or right are bound to alternative inputs. Inputting secret codes is also more forgiving even when custom bindings are active. On the hardware side, the Totummy guard no longer displays the wrong icon for the right analogue stick, and pressing Escape properly exits the fishing game.

Achievements and Progress

Several missable triggers and broken checks are resolved in version 1.2. The Mall extermination achievement no longer fails permanently if Bug Hero eliminates the final beastie. Blue Yamo's friend card is less fragile regarding game exit timings, and the quest indicator for Bingo appears reliably if the final cassette disk is acquired from Azure after gathering all Oranges. Additionally, Bingo stops repeating dialogue about cassette disks once they are all collected.

Multiplayer and Localization

Multiplayer sessions receive multiple stability passes. The Totummy mission now correctly counts all stars, adds an extra checkpoint, and prevents a trapdoor from stealing the camera focus. A new multiplayer accolade tracks bark counts, while Arabic text display errors for accolades are corrected. Text overflow bugs on French, Spanish, and Portuguese multiplayer results screens are resolved, alongside the removal of stray pixels beneath the pause menu.

Environment and Audio

Visual pop-in on the Resonarion cacti is reduced through an expanded spawn rectangle. Xenorat pathing no longer leaves them stuck in the light, and a rare audio mixer crash when transitioning from the credits back to the title screen is fixed.

Why this patch matters

Version 1.2 is a maintenance patch that resolves lingering frustration points with achievements, controllers, and multiplayer tracking.
