Gloomwood Patch v0.1.302 Refines AI, Shop Inventories, and Save Fixes
Gloomwood patch v0.1.302 improves player and enemy collision, adjusts luggage case upgrades in the City Market, and fixes save state persistence issues.
Patch v0.1.302 for Gloomwood addresses navigation, collision, and inventory issues across regions like Coast Cliffside, City Market, and City Underport. The update also resolves save and load bugs that disrupt level transitions.
Inventory and Shop Adjustments
In the City Market shop, the new playthrough inventory upgrade is changed to a 7x5 size instead of 8x6 after returning the first seal. The 8x6 upgrade remains available later in the game or via the console command give item_luggage_upgrade_8x6. Shop dialogue handling for luggage case upgrades is also improved.
AI and Collision Fixes
Player and enemy body collision handling is improved across the board. In Coast Cliffside, several AI patrols now initiate correctly, and a goatman no longer jumps through the attic door. Patrol start issues are resolved in City Underport, alongside geometry and water clipping fixes in the City Underport Hive finale event.
World Interaction and Environmental Fixes
In Coast Tavern, transition doors lock correctly during the scripted intro event, the guncase shotgun can now be picked up after shattering glass, and cabinet padlocks in the City Market gun shop work as intended. Van Der Meer's golden crank no longer transforms into a normal crank when dropped from inventory. Bridge levers in City Underport now function properly with older saves, and bridge sound playback is fixed.
Save States and Bug Fixes
Save and load issues preventing proper state persistence and level transitions are fixed. Flare rounds from the flaregun no longer duplicate after loading a save. Explosive barrels properly damage breakable objects, elevators no longer fail to crush the player, and metal pipes play correct footstep sounds.
Why this patch matters
This patch targets progression blockers, broken object interactions, and save corruption bugs to stabilize exploration throughout the game world.
