Foxfire September Update Adds Stage 1 Demo Openings and Cyrex Reworks

Foxfire receives a September update bringing a rebuilt Ark Heist escape, an updated Stage 1 demo opening, and a fully animated Cyrex boss encounter. The update also adds controller rumble and moves the Tailblazer arcade minigame to itch.io.

The September update for Foxfire brings major revisions to early game sequences, boss behavior, and out-of-game projects while preparing the project for its upcoming demo release.

Stage Rebuilds and Boss Encounters

Stage 3 features a redesigned space station layout with visible deck plating, space windows, and clear trap placements alongside a rebuilt escape sequence. The opening minutes of Stage 1 have been updated for the demo with a clearer start and interactive crewmates in the Mess Hall. The final boss of the Viridian Storm, Cyrex, is now a fully animated rig featuring new attacks and clear wind-up animations. Developers are also testing a secondary pacing option for Stage 2.

Controls and Minigames

Controller support is expanded with rumble feedback added for hits, pickups, and artillery. Tailblazer, the arcade minigame from Flight Training, is now playable in web browsers via itch.io, with an Android version currently in testing.
