Fields of Mistria Patches v0.12.2 and v0.12.3 Fix Winter Asset Bugs and Crashes

Fields of Mistria addresses winter asset display errors, legendary fish respawns, and menu crashes across two quick patches.

Two rapid updates arrive for Fields of Mistria, targeting post-update stability issues, visual glitches, and unintended progression loops introduced in the First Major Update. Versions v0.12.2 and v0.12.3 roll out together to clean up winter visuals and fix critical crash scenarios.

Gameplay and Progression Fixes

Exploits involving legendary fish are closed off by ensuring these rare catches cannot be acquired more than once. Crown Requests receive several logic corrections, requiring players to speak directly with Adeline for rewards while preventing multiple-requirement tasks from completing early upon fulfilling only the first objective. Alpaca Wool now correctly satisfies Animal Materials requests, and players with saves past year one now properly receive Shooting Star Festival furniture recipes via mail.

Crash and Performance Resolution

A serious crash triggered by passing out without a bed is resolved, alongside fixes for crashes tied to wallpaper placement, the Spring 2 Unusual Tree scene, and riding the Mistmare. Performance regressions tied to specific integrated graphics cards are corrected, and interior wall collisions in the starter home are restored.

Visual and Quality of Life Adjustments

Winter asset rendering for town buildings, bushes, and walls is corrected. Cosmetic items such as the Paisley Bandana no longer vanish during specific swimming animations, and the Big Bell moves to the functional section of the woodcrafting menu. Menu button orientations in the Home Upgrade purchase screen are standardized to match other interfaces.

Why this patch matters

These patches resolve critical progression roadblocks and visual quirks, making the game stable for players progressing past the first year.
