Esoteric Ebb Demo Hotfix #1 Fixes Save Stats and Cutscene Lockups

Developer Christoffer Bodegård released the first demo hotfix for Esoteric Ebb, resolving a critical save bug that reset player stats to six. The update also corrects save day numbering, cutscene softlocks, and Cleric starting inventory.

A quick hotfix is now live for the Esoteric Ebb demo, addressing several pressing technical problems reported by players since launch. Developer Christoffer Bodegård deployed the patch to fix progression-halting save errors and minor UI issues.

Critical Save and Progression Fixes

The hotfix corrects a major save game bug that forced all player stats down to six when loading a file from the main menu. Another save fix ensures that save files display the correct current day instead of adding one extra day. Players pressing escape during cutscenes will no longer get stuck permanently in the sleeping animation.

Inventory and Interface Adjustments

The Cleric class no longer starts with a complimentary apple in its inventory and must now acquire food through normal gameplay. Various minor bug fixes targeting the user interface and save system are also included.
