Enshrouded Patch 7 Overhauls Crafting, Building, and Villager Logic
Patch 7 for Enshrouded arrives with bug fixes for server crashes, first-person camera improvements for the Summoning Scepter, and a reversion to the previous Steam API version to address network stutter. The update also reorganizes personal crafting menus and fixes animal breeding logic.
Enshrouded receives its Patch 7 update, bringing a wide range of stability fixes, QoL additions, and interface tweaks. Developers have rolled back to the previous Steam API version while investigating network stutter, added first-person camera controls to the Summoning Scepter, and restructured personal crafting menus.
Stability and Network Fixes
This update addresses several known crash triggers, including those tied to closing the game, using the overgrowth building tool, and material wetting from rain. For multiplayer, the game reverts to the previous Steam API version to tackle reported lags and network stutter. Server lists now display version mismatches clearly, and microphones default to disabled.
Building and Summoning Scepter Updates
Players can now switch into a first-person camera mode using the Summoning Scepter, which automatically hides building tools during use and features improved responsiveness. Snapping modes now persist when cycling through action bar items instead of resetting. Overgrowth application on roof materials is disabled for now, preventing material loss when attempting the action.
Villagers, Animals, and Crafting
Farm animals no longer produce offspring when free beds are unavailable. Villager pathfinding has received tweaks, and their sheltered state display is fixed. The personal crafting menu undergoes restructuring to place frequently used items upfront, and building tools are moved to essentials at crafting NPCs.
World, Quests, and Miscellaneous Polish
Several world map markers, terrain shapes, and bed interactions in tent camps are corrected. Wells above the Shroud now consistently provide water, while those inside remain barricaded. The player skill Shell Shock no longer deducts mana from the wrong multiplayer clients, and skill UI notifications no longer freeze in the center of the screen during fast travel.
Why this patch matters
Patch 7 tackles foundational pain points in Enshrouded, prioritizing stability, smoother building interactions, and clearer UI navigation while developers investigate deeper networking issues.
