Enshrouded 1.0 Update Expands Embervale with New Biome, Spells, and Level Cap
Enshrouded version 1.0 launches with the complete Embervale map, the Cinder's Cradle biome, a level 50 cap, voiced lore, and extensive combat overhauls.
The 1.0 launch of Enshrouded opens up the entire map of Embervale, introducing a new northern biome, a raised level cap, advanced mage spells, and a complete overhaul of early-game pacing.
New Biome and Progression
Players can now explore Cinder's Cradle, a northern region featuring volcanic wastelands below and floating islands above. The update raises the maximum player level to 50, with gear upgradeable to level 55. A new Flame level allows up to 15 active Flame Altars, and a new crafting survivor arrives to offer Ancient knowledge and recipes.
Combat Overhauls and Mage Spells
Mage classes receive nine new spell types, including crowd control, area damage, and summons. All spells now feature eternal late-game variations that can be upgraded like weapons. Players can actively summon skeletons using new Necromancy gems, while wand gameplay gains heavy, evasive, and aerial attacks.
World Rendering and Audio
A new brick renderer improves distant terrain and voxel building fidelity without sacrificing performance. All lore notes, books, main crafting survivors, and quest givers are now fully voiced in English, German, and Mandarin Chinese.
Early Game and Quality of Life
Early-game progression in Springlands and Revelwood features adjusted crafting recipes, additional chests, and smoother road paths. Storage chests can now be upgraded in place without emptying them, and custom map markers and chests can be freely named.
Why this patch matters
Version 1.0 represents a content-complete update that expands every corner of Enshrouded while refining core survival mechanics.
