Dwarven Realms Chaos Week Patch Adjusts Starblades and Vortex
Dwarven Realms rolls out a reset and balance update for Chaos Week. The patch tunes damage output for Starblades, Vortex, and Lightning Totems while tackling performance issues.
Dwarven Realms is pushing out a new patch alongside a Chaos Week reset, bringing server downtime alongside sweeping balance adjustments to combat builds and performance fixes.
Skill Balance and Damage Tweaks
Starblades take a hit, with the damage bonus per extra blade dropping from 150% to 100%. Vortex collision mechanics now spawn a thunderstorm dealing 150% damage over 1.5 seconds, while its damage multiplier increases from 61% to 67%. Lightning Totems cast additional bolts, but the damage of those extra bolts drops from 100% to 75%. Spark gets a performance revamp accompanied by an increased damage multiplier moving from 32% to 40% and a 0.2-second cooldown reduction. Monogram's damage scaling changes from 1% per 20 stats to 1% per 25 stats, and the Toxicity mod now correctly adds Projectile affinity.
Loot and Bug Fixes
Fun Golden Qhickzichar enemies now carry a chance to drop a special mount chest containing one of the new Qhickzichar mounts. UI adjustments fix a missing Skorch icon on the leaderboards and correct the Bloodlust description under Spear Proficiency. A bug preventing players from gaining extra damage from Blood stacks based on their highest stat is resolved. Additionally, the Monogram station now properly displays an error message when resources are missing, and the Fire damage bonus for Berserker Elemental Fury is fixed.
Performance Optimizations
The update brings significant performance overhauls to multiple areas. Optimization passes target Spark behavior, Rain of Flames, Discharge, the Skill tree, Chain Lightning, Magery, Auto Attacks, and Vortex.
Why this patch matters
This patch reins in overperforming builds like Starblades while buffing Spark and tweaking scaling, forcing players to adapt their builds during the Chaos Week reset.
