Dwarven Realms Chaos Week 2 Patch Notes Bring Massive Offhand Buffs and New Codices

Dwarven Realms receives a major balance update for Chaos Week 2, featuring widespread cooldown reductions and damage increases for various offhand abilities. The update also introduces dozens of new helmet, relic, ring, boots, and bracer codices while dialing back strength scaling and stat bonus rolls.

Chaos Week 2 arrives for Dwarven Realms, shaking up build paths with sweeping buffs to offhand items and a broad expansion of codex options for helmets, relics, rings, boots, and bracers. At the same time, core attributes receive notable nerfs to balance the new power gains.

Offhand Ability Buffs

Rain of Flames gets a cooldown reduction from 0.5s to 0.3s at three or more identical offhands, a 50 percent damage increase, and now spawns two meteors per cast instead of one. Fire Beam damage increases by 20 percent with max hits up from 5 to 7. Spark, Static Charge, Star Blades, Electric Dragons, Death Blade, Toxicity, Arcane Orb, Blood Dragons, Arcane Totem, Fire Orb, Lightning Totem, Arcane Apocalypse, and Fiery Totem all receive reduced cooldowns when running three or more of the same offhand, paired with substantial damage boosts ranging from 6.67 percent to 66.67 percent. Arcane Orb increases base orbs from 1 to 3, while Blood Dragon base size doubles. Vortex now follows targets, and Spinning Blade radius scales by 0.8 meters per Added Axe mod.

New Equipment Codices

Helmet codexes introduce Phasing, which lets characters move through enemies, alongside bonuses scaling attack speed, critical damage, arcane damage, fire damage, lightning damage, and max HP based on extra inventory slots and critical chance above 100 percent. Every five non-strength stats now grant one base damage point. Relic codexes add mechanics like stacking damage while moving, doubling energy, potion-triggered offhands, and converting potion slots into damage bonuses. Ring codexes offer boss damage scaling, stat conversions for max HP, damage reduction, armor, and energy, plus extended Amadora buff durations. Boots gain a 15 percent movement speed bonus while phasing, and bracers grant 300 attack speed during phasing alongside double damage when phasing with no weapons or offhands equipped.

Stat Adjustments and Nerfs

Strength now grants 0.5 damage per point, down from 1. Additionally, stat bonus rolls on items are reduced by 50 percent to offset the power introduced by the new codexes.

Why this patch matters

Chaos Week 2 pushes offhand items into much higher viability while heavily expanding passive codex choices, though players will need to restructure characters around reduced strength scaling and smaller stat rolls on gear.
