Dragon Shelter Patch 3 Adds Quest Tracking, Control Remapping, and Slower Days
Dragon Shelter Patch 3 arrives with a new quest tracking system, control remapping, and a slower day-night cycle. The update also refreshes villager visuals as trust builds and fixes several inventory and cooking bugs.
Wild Forest Studio and Curve Games have released Patch 3 for Dragon Shelter, bringing quality-of-life adjustments to the game. The update introduces a dedicated quest tracking system, custom control rebinding, and adjustments to the economy and day length.
Interface and Tracking
Navigating objectives is easier with a new quest tracking system. The interface adds tracking indicators, new quest types, and hints for untracked tasks. Item counts now appear on quest requirement and villager order bubbles, while livestock food bubbles display item hints. Kitchens automatically filter recipes based on the station in use, and status views for dragons and villagers now save properly.
Controls and Economy
Players can now rebind controls through a new menu window, though developers note this is an initial version subject to further refinement. The day cycle passes at a slower pace to give players more time for daily tasks. Gold costs, dragon energy recovery, and select crafting recipes have also been adjusted.
World and Townsfolk
Villagers now alter their visual appearance as players build trust and increase community coziness. Dialogue and requirements for the bakery owner and Bard quests have been corrected, alongside general text fixes.
Bug Fixes and Farming
Cooking exploits and losses have been addressed. Disassembling a kitchen no longer deletes cooked meals, tableware stays put when dragons stop cooking at night, and pot duplication has been resolved. Teleporting is now disabled during cooking. On the farm, livestock resources no longer vanish on reload or duplicate daily, fire fertilizer remains in elemental garden beds, and dragon energy restoration issues are fixed.
Why this patch matters
Patch 3 addresses core points from launch, making navigation, farming routines, and daily management smoother for returning players.
