Dragon Shelter Patch 1 Adds World Map Fast Travel and Speeds Up Progression

Dragon Shelter's first major patch introduces a World Map with fast travel, reworks the Game Journal, and speeds up early game progression.

Dragon Shelter patch 1 introduces a World Map, UI updates, and pacing changes based on player feedback.

World Map and Fast Travel

Players can open a new World Map using the M key or the Game Journal to fast travel to signposts inside town, reducing travel time between locations.

Progression and Economy Adjustments

Villager crafts now take one day. Fertilizer and elemental craft requirements are simpler, shop inventories change by season, and new characters start with bread.

Tutorials and Gathering

New weather and season tutorial quests explain crop requirements and winter preparation. Extra seasonal plants now spawn in the forest behind town.

UI Rework and Visuals

The Game Journal has a new page design, fixed scroll speeds, and controller improvements. Tooltips and pop-up windows feature larger fonts, the HUD Journal button returns, and art assets for the Main Menu, Settings, and Customization screens are refreshed. Shadow behavior and medium-to-high shadow settings are also updated.

Bug Fixes

An issue where quests broke when quest items were placed on the farm has been fixed. Quest items can no longer be placed there.

Why this patch matters

Patch 1 targets traversal friction and early game progression to make farm management smoother.
