Dota 2 Update Nerfs Kez and Adjusts Crownfall Minigames

Dota 2 balance update reduces Kez damage and alters cooldowns while fixing crashes and adjusting Ability Draft rewards.

A Dota 2 update rolls out balance tweaks for Kez, fixes multiple crash bugs, and adjusts payouts for Crownfall minigames and Ability Draft.

Kez Balance Adjustments

Kazurai Katana damage per second is reduced from 7/8/9/10% to 6/7/8/9%. Falcon Rush katana base attack rate increases from 1.3/1.2/1.1/1.0 to 1.4/1.3/1.2/1.1, and its duration decreases from 7 to 3/4/5/6 seconds. Raptor Dance and Raven's Veil cooldowns are increased at higher levels to 40/35/30 seconds. Grappling Claw and Echo Slash fixes ensure proper interaction with evasion, leashes, and movement prevention abilities.

Bug Fixes and Stability

Client and server crashes involving Moon Shard, Ogre Seal Totem, Lone Druid, and Act IV encounters are resolved. Quick Buy issues, missing particle effects in Castle Carnage, and invisible mouse cursors in Spoon Man are corrected. Winning an Ability Draft game grants 2 tokens and 8 scrap instead of 3 tokens and 2 scrap.

Minigame and Interface Fixes

Spleen Sweeper features a main menu scoring section and grants completion bonuses on the final stage. Nest of Thorns reward delivery and gold saving issues are resolved. Crownfall map interactions, chat wheel sprays, and new trophies display correctly.

Why this patch matters

The patch reins in Kez while clearing out lingering minigame bugs and stability issues.
