Dota 2 Update 7.38b Fixes Clinkz, Drow Ranger, and Ability Draft Bugs

Valve has released Dota 2 patch 7.38b alongside a new Dota Plus season, deploying numerous bug fixes for heroes like Clinkz, Drow Ranger, and Sven. The update also resolves several specific issues tied to Ability Draft and item interactions.

Valve has rolled out Dota 2 patch 7.38b, introducing a fresh Dota Plus season alongside a wave of targeted bug fixes. This update addresses mechanical issues across multiple heroes, Ability Draft interactions, and UI bugs.

Hero and Ability Fixes

Several hero skills and talents have received necessary corrections. Clinkz Burning Army skeletons can no longer auto-cast Tar Bomb. Templar Assassin Hidden Reach effects are now properly hidden from enemies, and her Third Eye innate no longer breaks the Roshan timer. Sven level 10 talent granting 10% Vanquisher Bonus Damage now works as intended. Drow Ranger Precision Aura cast by illusions no longer overrides her own bonus agility, and her Sidestep Facet no longer triggers Silencer Last Word prematurely when Multishot finishes. Ancient Apparition Ice Blast shatter threshold no longer flickers when clicking on an affected enemy. Viper Nosedive no longer traps caster models in a bad state that allowed heroes to remain permanently stuck in the world.

Item and Stat Corrections

Spell Lifesteal Amplification from Kaya and its combined items now functions correctly. Items marked for sale are collected by the courier even if the courier did not start in the fountain when the delivery order was placed. Items marked for sale are no longer returned to the hero inventory if they were sitting in the courier during other deliveries.

Ability Draft and UI Adjustments

Ability Draft receives several critical stability fixes. The lobby loading screen no longer freezes during the draft phase when fewer than 10 players are present. Doom Devour no longer causes players to lose their first slot ability for the rest of the game or permanently retain neutral creep passive auras. Jakiro Liquid Fire is also fixed and works properly in the mode. Alt-click chat messages for the Roshan timer and Madstone indicator have been refined to match standard formatting.
