Dota 2 Patch 7.38c Resolves Hero Interactions and Gold Exploits

Valve's Dota 2 update 7.38c fixes dozens of hero bugs, eliminates teleport scroll gold exploits, and clarifies missing patch documentation regarding Roshan.

Valve deployed Dota 2 gameplay patch 7.38c to resolve an extensive list of persistent bugs involving hero abilities, item interactions, and economic exploits. The update also officially documents a previous change regarding Roshan's item drops.

Economy and Documentation Fixes

The patch adds a missing line from the 7.38 notes stating that Roshan no longer drops Aghanim's Blessing. Two major gold exploits have been closed. Players can no longer generate infinite teleport scrolls by repeatedly buying and selling Boots of Travel. Dazzle players can no longer achieve negative net worth through a specific sequence involving stashed teleport scrolls, courier deliveries, and Nothl Projection.

Hero Ability Adjustments

Scores of hero-specific interactions are corrected in this update. Tormentor no longer spawns directly on top of a player's hero at the 15-minute mark when demoing a terrain. Bristleback's Quill Spray damage granted by Aghanim's Scepter no longer counts as reflected damage. Clinkz's Tar Bomb correctly triggers Magic Wand when set to autocast. Doom's Devil's Bargain buyback calculations are fixed, and Hoodwink's Level 20 Sharpshooter Truesight talent no longer has a blind spot along its path. Ability Draft issues for Pangolier and Kez have also been resolved.
