Dokimon Quest Weekend Hot Patch Resolves Progression Crashes and Battle Bugs

The latest hot patch for Dokimon Quest eliminates critical crashes tied to player affinity, fixes world battle evolution errors, and addresses graphical glitches.

A weekend hot patch arrives for Dokimon Quest to tackle several severe progression bugs, combat locks, and graphical errors. The update addresses crashes caused by unassigned affinity values and prevents battles from getting stuck when enemies hit 1 HP.

Critical Crash and Combat Fixes

The update fixes an issue where an unassigned my_affinity value triggered game crashes. World battle evolutions no longer cause unexpected errors, and combat encounters will no longer freeze when an enemy is defeated down to 1 HP. Additionally, switching monsters during battle no longer leaves the switch-in animation drawing over the active interface if you quickly open your party menu.

World Map and Item Corrections

Several movement and interaction bugs are now resolved. A boat no longer blocks the path to the Mountain, preventing permanent exploration lockouts if players used the Momma radar. Using the Momma radar while surfing now properly resets surfing states. Miscellaneous tile errors across the world map, duplicate NPC dialogue, run-off text, and a fishing sprite error for the second playable character have also been corrected. A rare one percent failure chance for Midnight Captals has been removed, and volume no longer resets following certain sound effects.

Known Issues and Tracking

Developers are actively working on remaining problems, including limited PC slots, the inability to release monsters, erratic battle speed-up performance on specific monitors, and Steam achievements failing to fire. Steam achievements are tracking internally and will unlock automatically upon loading a save once the integration issue is resolved.

Why this patch matters

This hot patch swiftly removes dangerous crash vectors and soft-locks, stabilizing the game while developers finish secondary quality-of-life additions.
