Delta Force Update Nerfs Dragonfly Drones and Smoke Grenades

Delta Force's December 6 update adjusts operator balance across Warfare and Operations modes. The patch reduces the disruptive power of Dragonfly's swarm drones, shrinks smoke and gas radii, and fixes client bugs.

Team Jade has rolled out a balance update for Delta Force across Warfare and Operations modes. The patch alters utility items like smoke grenades and flash drones, reduces the impact of Dragonfly's abilities, and addresses several visual bugs.

Warfare and Operations Balance

Dragonfly's Swarm Drone disruption time and blurring effects are reduced in Warfare. Blinding gas, standard smoke grenades, tactical smoke grenades, and smoke screen radii are all reduced to 4.5 meters. Smokescreen length is adjusted to 25 meters, and its duration drops from 17 seconds to 12 seconds. Flash drone flashing brightness is reduced in both Warfare and Operations, and the trigger distance for max flashing time drops from 5 meters to 3 meters.

Bug Fixes and Interface

The patch resolves an issue where Black Hawk rank reward avatars failed to appear on the Avatar screen in ranked Operations. It fixes brief black scope flashes during ADS in Warfare, abnormal blurring caused by Hackclaw's flash drone, and occasional instances where operators could not give up rescue in Warfare.

Why this patch matters

Utility spam receives a targeted reduction in reach and duration, shifting tactical engagements away from heavy smoke and drone suppression.
