Crimson Moon Hotfix 1.0.2 Overhauls Co-Op and Saves
Team Metal deploys a massive hotfix for Crimson Moon, addressing save stability, co-op connectivity, and combat bugs.
Hotfix 1.0.2 is live across all platforms for Crimson Moon. Team Metal has rolled out hundreds of adjustments targeting save stability, multiplayer connectivity, combat responsiveness, and platform-specific performance.
Save Data and Progression Fixes
Save file stability receives several important changes to protect player progress. The update stops active run Boons, Loadout Egg statuses, and consumable unlocks from leaking into new save files. The Save Overwrite confirmation screen now identifies the targeted save file and defaults to the safer No option instead of Yes. Additionally, Lore Scrolls can now be collected reliably in co-op sessions, allowing both players to progress related quests.
Multiplayer and Co-op Repairs
Matchmaking infrastructure sees widespread corrections, including fixes for Quickplay errors, Game Not Open to Join prompts, and crossplay invite failures between Xbox and other platforms. In-game synchronization issues are addressed, stopping clients from incorrectly inheriting host mission progress or resetting to default gear. Dead player collision no longer blocks movement, and client damage calculations during boss encounters operate correctly.
Combat and Balance Adjustments
Boons and Weapon Arts receive tuning to resolve broken mechanics. Angelic Bulwark shield functions correctly, Brewmaster triggers properly after opening Nexus Gates, and Avenging Pestilence no longer allows players to poison enemies without consuming Mana or dealing double damage. Clear the Area objectives function more reliably with correct enemy spawn navigation.
Interface and Platform Polish
The HUD and menu systems feature corrected Life icon displays, more readable Boon descriptions, and distinct Armory upgrade labels. Steam Deck performance, control responsiveness, and combat desync issues receive dedicated optimizations. Mouse sensitivity settings now include a precision slider and proper button bindings.
Why this patch matters
Hotfix 1.0.2 tackles critical community pain points with save leaks and co-op desync, while setting the stage for a deeper save system overhaul in Patch 1.1.
