Cozy Game Restoration Demo Patch 4 Blocks Item Dupes and Adjusts Economy
Demo Patch 4 for Cozy Game Restoration locks down shop upgrades to prevent money loss, fixes furniture placement exploits, and splits up the tutorial steps.
Developer Adam has released Demo Patch 4 for Cozy Game Restoration, addressing major economic issues and item duplication bugs reported by players.
Economy and Progression
Shop upgrades now cost $9,999 to prevent players from spending their demo funds on upgrades instead of acquiring games. The tutorial has also been split into separate steps, allowing players to finish cleaning the game independently from customizing the collection room. The how-to-play screen now appears during this flow.
Bug Fixes and Exploits
The customization screen furniture placement has been reworked to stop players from putting games on walls or plants on shelves, which previously caused item duplication glitches. Additionally, a fix resolves an issue where popups failed to appear when attempting to delete a save.
Known Issues
Several bugs remain under investigation for future updates. These include language selection menus and additional localization, furniture rotation, a buggy windowed mode toggle for some players, and disabled autocomplete functionality.
Why this patch matters
This update secures the demo economy and stops inventory exploits while smoothing out the early-game tutorial flow.
