Control Resonant Update 1.4.0 Brings Infinite New Game Plus and Map Tracking
Control Resonant Update 1.4.0 adds infinite New Game Plus runs, a visible Build Power metric on the loadout screen, and material vendor tracking on the map. The patch also reduces combat intensity in the Unknown Zone and fixes numerous bugs across audio, quests, and UI.
Remedy has released Update 1.4.0 for Control Resonant, bringing a new game mode alongside interface improvements, balance adjustments, and bug fixes across all platforms.
New Game Plus and Progression
Players can run an infinite number of New Game Plus playthroughs. The loadout screen displays Build Power directly in the bottom left corner, removing the need to check the Stats and Effects menu. Pinned upgrade materials now display vendor availability directly on the map icon, and the HUD includes notification icons for new purchases and upgrades available in The Gap.
Combat Balance and Adjustments
The Unknown Zone sees a 10 percent to 15 percent decrease in overall combat frequency and intensity. Assist Mode gains a new Power Core Charge duration multiplier ranging from 100 percent to 300 percent, alongside an option that refunds one dodge and one jump after an air execution if the player is out of both. The Firebreak employee in The Park has also been made stronger to handle ambient Mold hazards.
Audio and Visual Fixes
A dedicated volume slider for radio dialogue is available, allowing players to balance speakers or headphones against the DualSense controller speaker. An option to mute Apocalyptica's intro credits song has been added. The patch fixes over-saturated HDR highlights in AgX tonemapping, resolves framerate drops during the Artist Resonant boss fight, and adds Razer haptic support.
Quest and World Fixes
Numerous map marker persistence errors and out-of-bounds exploits near boss encounters are resolved. The patch fixes progression blockades in quests such as Into the Sinkhole, Carbon Copy, and A New Directive, while also correcting audio desync issues and missing vendor prices.
Why this patch matters
Update 1.4.0 addresses community feedback by streamlining material tracking, adding infinite New Game Plus loops, and adjusting technical performance on PC and consoles.
