Control Resonant Hotfix 1.4.2 Resolves Quest Blockers and Missing Artifacts

Control Resonant Hotfix 1.4.2 fixes progress blockers in The House in Distress and Every Dog Has Her Day quests. It also addresses soft-locks in the Gap, fixes passive companion behavior, and scales down Burn status effect damage.

Hotfix 1.4.2 for Control Resonant targets progression blockers introduced in Game Update 1.4.0. The patch restores missing NPCs, fixes quest rewards, and corrects combat balancing issues.

Quest Progression and NPC Fixes

In The House in Distress quest, Zoe no longer goes missing and allows players to continue the mission. Busken can now be asked about Underhill after progressing far enough in the respective quest. For the Every Dog Has Her Day side quest, completing the mission now properly awards an Artifact, with a retroactive fix applied for players who already finished it prior to starting New Game plus.

Combat and Escort Corrections

A soft-lock that trapped players in the Gap after quitting to the main menu immediately following the Artist Resonant fight without using the Ability selection prompt is fixed. The Firebreaker escort target now behaves correctly instead of standing still. Burn status effect damage has been lowered when applied to Dylan while wearing the Wallet Artifact and running out of Power. Rangers during escort tasks now reset their positions properly, and subtitle timing issues have been fixed across all languages.

Why this patch matters

Hotfix 1.4.2 removes critical progression barriers and restores missing rewards, smoothing out the bumps left by the previous major update.
