Cairn Demo Update 0.1.262s_587 Fixes Soft Locks and Adds Steam Deck Native Resolution
Cairn Demo patch 0.1.262s_587 targets rare progression soft locks during teleports and transitions. The update also adds native resolution support for Steam Deck and improves bivouac visibility.
The latest patch for the Cairn demo addresses several rare soft locks and introduces quality-of-life improvements for mountaineering players. Developer The Game Bakers deployed the update following community feedback from demo players.
Bug Fixes and Soft Lock Resolutions
The patch resolves low-reproduction soft locks tied to off-belay transitions and No Go Area teleports triggered while tutorials or the barometer are open. It also fixes an overhang mantling bug and addresses an input menu issue that occurred when multiple control devices were detected.
Quality of Life and Steam Deck
Steam Deck users now run the demo at native resolution across all quality settings, though developers note performance remains unoptimized on the handheld device. Bivouac interactions also feature improved visibility to make camp setups easier to spot.
