Bus Simulator 27 Update 1.17 Adds Stop Requests and Depot Departures

Bus Simulator 27 Update 1.17 introduces passenger stop requests, depot starts, and critical crash fixes across platforms. The update also tackles multiplayer rubberbanding, traffic AI junctions, and UI anomalies.

Update 1.17 for Bus Simulator 27 brings passenger mechanics, crash mitigations, and multiplayer fixes. The patch targets stability issues on Xbox hardware alongside extensive map and vehicle corrections.

Critical Stability and Multiplayer

The update resolves multiple fatal crashes, including an Xbox crash linked to player settings changes, pedestrian collision crashes, and Xbox Series out-of-memory errors caused by font loading. Epic Games Store players will find that Deluxe content unlocks correctly following a fix to DLC ownership verification. Multiplayer adjustments eliminate rubberbanding while driving, pedestrian desyncs, UI desyncs, and erratic AI driver behavior.

Core Gameplay and Passenger Features

Passengers can issue stop requests, triggering an audio signal when someone intends to exit at the upcoming stop. Drivers can initiate an Extra Trip directly from the nearest bus depot. HUD elements are corrected so the stop countdown switches from arrival to departure upon door opening, and trip summary screens no longer display 0 for the time to the next stop. The player report button is hidden in single-player sessions.

AI, Traffic, and Vehicle Fixes

Junction workflows in Station District, Villa Urbana, Grand Promenade, High Coast, and Iron District are refined, including a fix for buses trapped when turning left from platforms A through D at the Lower Bus Terminal. NPC pathing glitches, character sliding out of buses after ticket checks in the MAN Lion's City 18, and camera freezing during character creation color customization are eliminated. Vehicle dashboards, door colliders, and missing collision areas across map zones have received passes.

Why this patch matters

Update 1.17 shores up technical stability on consoles while introducing practical transit features that enhance daily route realism.
