Brawlhalla Patch 9.00 Launches 9th Anniversary Event, adidas Collab, and PC Engine Upgrades
Brawlhalla Patch 9.00 marks the 9th Anniversary Event with new skins, a Brawlhalla x adidas collaboration, a 40 percent dash-landing distance reduction, and the default transition to a 64-bit Steam client.
Brawlhalla celebrates nearly a decade of fighting with Patch 9.00, introducing the 9th Anniversary Event, a crossover with adidas, a major dash-landing distance reduction, and the default migration to a 64-bit Windows client on Steam.
Gameplay Mechanics and Combat Adjustments
The maximum distance for a dash-landing or snap to a floor or platform is reduced by 40 percent. King Zuva's gold unlock price drops permanently to 5,400 Gold. The new Morph game mode challenges players to pick one weapon each from three different Legends, swapping forms during the match using the throw button in a first-to-three-KOs format.
Anniversary Event and Mallhalla Items
The 9th Anniversary Event brings new designer skins including Haute Couture Ember, Peacock Artemis, Swanky Diana, Gothic Chic Nix, The Honorable Sir Roland, Esq., Maître d'Hattori, Gentleman Kor, and Ritzy Bödvar. The Phil Sidekick, Gilded Deco 2024 podium, and seasonal emojis are also available. Mallhalla now features Brawlhalla x adidas items, including the Forum Mid Battle Boots weapon skin and an adidas avatar. Logging in grants the free Life of the Party and You Got This titles, plus a daily bonus of 250 Gold.
Client Upgrades and Technical Changes
The Steam tech-test branch is now the default version of Brawlhalla, bringing full 64-bit architecture support. A separate 32bit-windows branch remains available for 32-bit operating systems. The -framefix launch parameter is now active by default on Windows 64-bit systems, while -framefixunbounded is renamed to -triplebuffer. The -unlockfps parameter is deprecated.
UI and General Fixes
The in-game Power Rankings screen now syncs automatically with the website. Mallhalla scroll bars now support mouse wheel scrolling, Mega Man's weapon displays correctly as a single blaster, and sponsored video reward chests appear four times more frequently with new items. Numerous animation errors, text clipping issues, and missing localization strings are also resolved.
Why this patch matters
Patch 9.00 combines a massive content celebration with impactful technical groundwork, shifting the PC version to 64-bit and tweaking ground-movement distances.
