BioEden Update 1 Focuses on Map Tracking, Animal Fixes, and UI Gremlins

BioEden's first update tackles quality-of-life snags with unexplored hex tracking, tutorial additions for the River Cleaner, and various animal handling fixes.

Developer Yves has pushed BioEden's first update live, targeting quality-of-life pain points and nagging bugs discovered since launch. The patch brings map visibility tools, interface corrections, and stability fixes across multiple systems based on community feedback.

Navigation and Quality of Life

Finding unexplored hexes on the map is now easier, and land percentage rounding errors have been corrected. The River Cleaner is added to the tutorial, allowing players to clear 100% of a map, while a bug where lake cleanliness icons failed to update has been resolved. Control prompts for modifying Temperature and Humidity Device parameters now appear correctly. Biome Knowledge Tree final level purchase indicators no longer leave lingering exclamation marks, and outer terrain flashing during building placement is gone.

Animal Management and Controls

Animal requirements no longer suffer from rounding issues, and the Animal Incubator material requirement tooltip displays correctly. Animals can no longer be released outside of the Animal Den release tab. Placing two large dens close together no longer causes physics glitches with Scroftusks. Relocating a Dome asset with a controller no longer produces cancellation bugs, and selecting an asset inside the Dome no longer sticks the camera on the Y axis.

Save Data and UI Reliability

A bug where closing the Save menu immediately after creation blocked future manual saves and loads is fixed. Crisis popups can now be dismissed without waiting for background dialogue to finish. Storage information now populates correctly in newly built Food Factories and Feeders. The red Energy icon stays hidden when connecting a Water Cleaner to an Outpost Antenna, and the Slink no longer misses its Biome icon during a specific mission. Numerous localization errors are also addressed.

Performance and Asset Handling

Moving an asset over another asset inside a Biome no longer risks framerate drops or crashes. The update includes a variety of smaller bug fixes and localization updates across the board.

Future Outlook

The development team notes that larger community feedback topics require more investigation and will be addressed in future updates after proper evaluation.
