Beast of Reincarnation PC Patch v1.1.01 Adds Story Skipping and FOV Settings

Fictions and Game Freak have released PC patch v1.1.01 for Beast of Reincarnation, introducing an option to bypass mid-game zones to reach the Capital faster. The update also adds FOV adjustments, cutscene skip prompt toggles, performance optimizations, and numerous bug fixes.

Fictions and Game Freak have deployed patch v1.1.01 for Beast of Reincarnation on PC, marking the eighth post-launch update for the action title. The patch introduces requested quality-of-life additions like a field of view slider and a mid-game zone bypass option for repeat playthroughs.

Story Progression Options

Players who clear the mid-game Great Wall Terraces Zone can now choose to bypass the Pilgrim's Zone, Matsukawa Colony Zone, and Fuji Frontier Zone by selecting Hasten to the Capital. This option allows story-focused players and New Game+ runners to reach the Capital faster, though achievements tied to the bypassed zones cannot be earned during that specific run.

Display and Interface Additions

The update introduces a Field of View adjustment setting in the Options menu. Players can also toggle cutscene and event skip prompts on or off in the Settings menu.

Cutscene and Event Fixes

Developers adjusted line pacing and staging timing across multiple event cutscenes. The patch resolves issues where dialogue subtitles remained on screen after skipping an event, rapid skipping caused soft locks, and character positioning or camera angles appeared unnatural following a skipped cutscene.

Combat and Progression Bug Fixes

Manually canceling Entanglement Overdrive no longer inadvertently toggles target lock-on. Canceling a strongbox unlocking sequence while activating Koo's Bloom Art will no longer lock the camera onto Koo. Additional fixes prevent Koo from using items on staggered enemies, remove lingering staggered graphics, and ensure the Manual: Explosive Arrow can be obtained properly in New Game+.

Performance and Environment Polish

Effect generation processing load has been distributed across hardware to improve overall game performance. The update also addresses various environmental clipping issues, gaps, invisible walls, submersion detection depth, and collision boundaries across all zones.

Why this patch matters

Patch v1.1.01 delivers essential quality-of-life features for repeat playthroughs and cleans up lingering technical friction, wrapping up the game heavy post-launch support cycle.
