BeamNG.drive v0.34 Hotfixes Adjust Vehicles, UI, and Rally Mode

BeamNG.drive has received a series of hotfixes for version 0.34, addressing vehicle configurations, interface scaling, drag race AI, and rally mode pacenotes. The updates also fix terrain spikes on West Coast, USA and improve virtual reality support.

The development team behind BeamNG.drive has released two rounds of hotfixes for version 0.34. These patches address vehicle bugs, UI responsiveness, career mode oversights, and level geometry across multiple maps.

Vehicle Fixes and Adjustments

Numerous vehicles receive corrections across the v0.34 hotfixes. The Autobello Stambecco fixes conflicting beacon light colors, while the Bruckell Nine gains a front hotrod license plate and corrected diff ratios. The Gavril MD-Series fixes a floating police light bar, and the T-Series repairs broken air suspension. The Ibishu BX-Series corrects a mapping issue on tube front frames, and various configurations receive proper traffic roles and horn assignments.

Level Improvements and AI

On the West Coast, USA map, developers removed terrain spikes along the central freeway, rebuilt exit and merge ramps near the Belasco City Garage and highway west end for better visibility, and adjusted AI paths and audio filtering near tunnel exits. Drag Race AI opponents now use full 100 percent throttle instead of 98 percent. East Coast, USA sees a fix for floating trees, and traffic no longer spawns in track and drag areas.

User Interface and Controls

Main menu scaling is improved on small screens, and the vehicle configurator parts tree layout is now more compact with adjusted colors and transparency. Popover menus now retain a saved state for selected preferences, and gamepad support is improved alongside an option to limit decimal input fields in Drag Race bracket mode. The repository menu also features tweaked messaging for connection failures.

Career Mode and Rally Adjustments

Career mode adds a 1975 to 1987 year range to the Travel Trailer, and fixes a bug where vehicles stayed partly damaged after restarting a mission. The experimental Rally Mode receives pacenote improvements, fixing issues where corner icons appeared on straight segments or pacenotes went missing for users who customized UI apps.

Why this patch matters

These hotfixes provide a wide array of polish, fixing map geometry, UI scaling, and vehicle component errors introduced in the initial v0.34 release.
