BeamNG.drive Update v0.34 Introduces Bruckell Nine and Drift Zones
BeamNG.drive v0.34 adds the pre-war Bruckell Nine with nine body styles, implements distance-based drift scoring with new freeroam zones on West Coast, USA, and debuts the map-making Biome Tool. The update also brings extensive police vehicle upgrades and physics tweaks.
BeamNG.drive version 0.34 arrives for the holidays, adding a vintage pre-war vehicle, new precision racing challenges, map tools, and wide-ranging vehicle customizations.
New Vehicle: Bruckell Nine
The headline vehicle is the Bruckell Nine, a 1930s pre-war automobile featuring nine distinct body styles including two coupe options, a sedan, a roadster, two van variants, two pickup styles, and a driver seat on a bodyless frame. It includes factory variants with period-appropriate handling quirks alongside modernized hot rod and restomod parts, glass tints, and suspension upgrades. The vehicle also debuts a gradual illumination lighting system that simulates vintage halogen bulb warm-up and dimming effects during engine startup.
New Gameplay Modes and Drift Scoring
West Coast, USA gains seven Freeroam Drift Zones indicated by blue road signs that track scores and goals. The drift scoring system transitions from time-based to distance-based, ensuring faster drifts over distance yield better rewards. A new precision drag racing mode called Dial Racing tasks players with hitting a target time without overshooting opponents. Three new missions join the lineup: Bootleg Runner on Utah, Hotrod Club on East Coast, USA, and Vintage Hauler on Small Island.
Vehicle Overhauls and Police Upgrades
Police configurations across all applicable vehicles are upgraded with emergency beacons, light bars, flashers, antennas, and new interior controls. The modern light bar features selectable flash patterns, glass colors, and optimization updates. The Gavril Grand Marshall receives a widebody Slider kit and a unique livery, while the Drag configuration gains aftermarket parts and sound tuning. Tweaks and fixes also apply to the Burnside Special, Civetta Scintilla, ETK 800-Series, ETK-I Series, Gavril MD-Series, Roamer, T-Series, Ibishu BX-Series, and Soliad Wendover.
Map Polish and World Editor Tools
West Coast, USA receives map updates including a revamped parking lot, a gravel off-road course at Belasco Motorsports Park, off-road sections near the mainland bridge, and redesigned bus shelters matching other maps. Map makers gain the Biome Tool to populate foliage using mask controls, an improved Resource Checker UI to track material usage, and a work-in-progress Traffic Manager edit mode for placing traffic vehicles, props, and signals with save-and-load support.
Why this patch matters
Update v0.34 gives BeamNG.drive players a massive mechanical playground, pairing authentic vintage driving with deep customisation and polished track features.
