Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Brings Evil Endings, Mod Tools, and Split-Screen Upgrades
Patch 7 is live on PC, introducing 13 new evil ending cinematics, an in-game mod manager, dynamic split-screen, and Honour Mode changes. Console and Mac players receive the update in October.
Larian Studios launched Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC, delivering a suite of features led by dark cinematic conclusions, official modding tools, and combat tweaks. Console and Mac users receive the update in October.
New Evil Endings and Narrative Additions
Thirteen cinematic endings are available for players who embrace corruption and villainy. Content settings have been updated, renaming the nudity toggle to 'Show Sexual and Violent Cinematics' to cover extreme violence and the new dark endings. Additional narrative fixes include expanded companion reactions, repaired romance greetings for Wyll, and correct dialogue flow for the Dark Urge.
In-Game Mod Manager and Toolkit
PC players can browse, install, and manage community creations directly from the main menu using the in-game Mod Manager. Mod authors also gain access to the standalone Baldur’s Gate 3 Toolkit on Steam, which features official support for scripted mods using the Osiris language.
Dynamic Split-Screen and Quality-of-Life Adjustments
Local co-op receives an overhaul with dynamic split-screen, which automatically merges the two halves of the display when player characters approach each other and separates them when they move apart. Inventory management also improves, letting you donate magic items directly from your Traveller's Chest and simplifying long rest supply consumption.
Honour Mode Combat Adjustments
Tough boss encounters receive fresh mechanics on higher difficulties. Malus Thorm gains the Grasping Appendage Legendary Action, the Bulette acquires Diamond Scales and Shredding Scales, and various githyanki leaders gain tactical abilities like Soul Sacrifice and Tu'narath's Embrace.
