Baldur's Gate 3 Hotfix 30 Fixes Cross-Play, Crashes, and Ruleset Bugs

Baldur's Gate 3 Hotfix 30 addresses cross-play connection failures, crashes, and specific ruleset interactions.

Larian Studios has deployed Hotfix 30 for Baldur's Gate 3. Following Patch 8, this minor update resolves crashes, cross-play connection snags, and gameplay rule discrepancies.

Gameplay and Ruleset Fixes

Divine Allegiance triggers within standard melee range. Paladins no longer lose Auras after a Long Rest, and War Priest attacks stay active if the character moves before striking. Tavern Brawler no longer adds damage to Elemental Cleaver in Honour Mode. Polearm Clout scales weapon damage correctly and utilizes the Charisma modifier for weapons bound via Pact of the Blade or Hexblade. Shadow Blade grants advantage strictly on melee weapon attacks made while equipped.

Cross-Play and Multiplayer Stability

The update resolves issues where clients stuck on loading screens when joining cross-play lobbies uninvited or during character creation cinematics. A timeout returns players to the main menu if a connection attempt fails. Username character limits are consistent across all platforms.

Crashes, Performance, and Modding

Hotfix 30 fixes input delays on PS5 split-screen when editing Dream Guardians and eliminates stuttering on M4 Macs in crowded areas. Submitting a report through the Larian Crash Reporter no longer deletes saved settings files. Modding fixes resolve incorrect XAML error messages in the main menu.

Why this patch matters

Hotfix 30 delivers technical cleanup for multiplayer stability and ruleset accuracy.
