Avowed Patch v1.3.1 Adds High Contrast and Performance Fixes
Obsidian Entertainment released Avowed patch v1.3.1, introducing high contrast UI support, native FSR anti-aliasing, and performance upgrades for larger cities on Xbox.
Obsidian Entertainment has launched patch v1.3.1 for Avowed, targeting community-requested accessibility features, quest progression blockers, and performance issues on Xbox consoles.
Accessibility and Community Requests
Players can now enable high-contrast support across several user interface screens. The update also introduces a Native Anti-Aliasing option for FSR users. Compass markers, quest tracking behaviors, and HUD notification toggles now function correctly, ensuring experience gained alerts and quest beacons do not linger or point toward finished objectives improperly.
Quests and Performance
The quest Our Dreams Divide Us Still now advances properly at the end of combat, including a retroactive fix for saves loaded post-combat. Turning the winch to save Solace Keep no longer fails in rare instances. On Xbox, performance improves in Beauty and Balanced modes when navigating larger cities. Miscellaneous visual fixes address Orlan hair rendering on higher quality settings and ensure the Pentiment achievement no longer requires a specific Emerald Stair side quest.
Why this patch matters
Patch v1.3.1 delivers targeted quality-of-life additions and stabilizes city performance on Xbox without altering core gameplay systems.
