Avowed Patch 1.3 Adds Talent Points and HUD Options

Avowed Patch 1.3 introduces bonus talent points, high contrast text options, walk toggles, and numerous quest and stability fixes.

Patch 1.3 for Avowed delivers community-requested features, including bonus talent points at specific milestone levels, expanded HUD controls, and broad stability fixes.

Player Progress and Customization

Players now receive an additional talent point at levels 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30, with retroactive grants for existing save files. Mouse and keyboard users gain a walk toggle, and the interface gains high-contrast document options, a third-person FOV slider, and a static compass setting. Controller keybinds are now fully customizable.

Quest and Progression Fixes

Numerous quest blockers are resolved. Quests such as The Finer Things in Battle and Our Dreams Divide Us Still now trigger and advance reliably. Dialogues with characters like Amalia and Constable Hajime grant correct rewards, and several conversation loops that previously dropped or caused hostility are corrected.

Combat and Performance Stability

Pistols hit targets more reliably, and companions with the Shocked status no longer electrocute nearby players. Spells and abilities, including Into the Fray, feature improved responsiveness and cast reliability. Stability improvements prevent crashes related to fast travel, memory allocation, and save/load enemy spawning.

Why this patch matters

Patch 1.3 addresses core community requests with meaningful progression additions while stamping out persistent crash bugs and quest blockers.
