Astrea Six-Sided Oracles v1.2.258 Beta Reworks and Balancing
A new Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles beta patch brings extensive reworks and balancing adjustments to Cellarius, Austra, Sothis, and select Anomaly 10 enemies. Players can opt into the Steam beta branch to test these changes before they hit the main release.
Developer Leonardo Castanho has rolled out a new beta update for Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles. Version v1.2.258 targets starting dice, blessings, and virtues for multiple characters, alongside targeted nerfs for punishing Anomaly 10 encounters. The beta is live now on Steam.
Character Adjustments
Cellarius receives starting die buffs, altering Minor Reroll, Minor Shield, and Minor Invigorating Punch to incorporate self-purification and cleaner mechanics. Austra gains improvements to Vacuum Wings, Apian Drone, and Drifter Catcher, alongside boosted dodge mechanics and card draw values. Sothis sees the most extensive overhaul, featuring changes to the Behenian Hourglass, new starting die pools with Sandshaping and Stasis options, and adjusted values across a vast array of chanting and blessing effects. Orion also receives buffs to Epic and Balanced die values for cards like Cosmic Expansion, Ethereal Convergence, and Orbital Renovation.
Neutral and Enemy Balancing
Neutral cards see adjustments, including a nerf to Bottled Void which increases Stunned from 2 to 3, and a rework to Calm die. On the enemy side, Anomaly 10 encounters receive much-needed nerfs to curb excessive difficulty. Changes hit enemies in the Tainted Reef and Astropolis Ruins, such as reduced corruption on Crystallized Swirl and Lost Sentinel, adjusted Overcorruption on Ostreons and Shivering Shackles, and reworked mechanics for Ground Zero encounters like Profaned Tomb and Voidsmith.
Bug Fixes and Quality of Life
The patch resolves several persistent issues, including a bug where the Shark Overflow die failed to deal Corruption and got stuck to the cursor. Shark Rush corruption no longer doubles incorrectly from Frenzy. The update also fixes missing inventory panels like the Perpetual Clock during Diceless Anomaly modifiers, corrects item descriptions, and addresses missing events at Unknown locations.
Why this patch matters
This beta patch tackles heavy balance issues across multiple characters and high-level enemies, offering a more refined toolkit for players pushing into upper anomalies.
