Astral Ascent Update 1.7.0 Adds Relentless Void and Forge Rework

Astral Ascent patch 1.7.0 introduces the Relentless Void room type, a streamlined Forge spell selection system, and community-inspired accessibility fixes.

Hibernian Workshop released update 1.7.0 for Astral Ascent, implementing community-requested features alongside a new high-difficulty room type, forge mechanics, and numerous bug fixes.

New Content and Forge Mechanics

The Relentless Void arrives as a new room type in world four, featuring harder Star Guardians with advanced patterns for players who have already defeated three Star Guardians in a single run, rewarding Astral Gambits upon completion. The Forge receives a complete rework, letting players select any spell from their hero and choose their desired affinity directly instead of relying on random selections. Additionally, the Keys Refiner allows players to convert leftover world five keys into stars for Andromeda's drinks prior to the final battle.

Quality of Life and Balance Changes

Big chests can now be opened by holding down the interaction input instead of repetitive button spamming. End-of-room portals open slightly faster during stop-running animations, and Resilience mode status is now visible directly on the main user interface. For balance, Yamat's summon Dance of Contempt has its cooldown reduced from 45 seconds down to 25 seconds.

Bug Fixes

The update resolves multiple issues including an unintended co-op room skip when both players triggered a portal simultaneously. Kiran's Explosive Temper passive ability from the Burning Bo weapon now correctly registers hits against enemies. Various visual glitches involving Resilience mode decimal values, missing audio cues when buying spells at Andromeda's bar, and Yamat perk element spawning loops have also been fixed.

Why this patch matters

Version 1.7.0 streamlines run mechanics and adds substantial endgame challenge through targeted community-driven adjustments.
