Astral Ascent Hotfixes 2.7.6 Add Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Collaboration and Co-Op Fixes
Astral Ascent receives a substantial update introducing a crossover room themed after Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 alongside dozens of critical cooperative bug fixes. Players can now encounter new bosses, select unique crossover heroes, and enjoy properly functioning co-op scaling and stat attribution.
The Hibernian Workshop team has released a series of hotfixes for Astral Ascent, culminating in version 2.7.6. The update introduces major crossover content inspired by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, alongside technical corrections designed to stabilize cooperative play and resolve long-standing stat tracking errors.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Collaboration
Players who have cleared their first run can encounter a room choice based on the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 universe. Appearing once per run at the ninth room of a random world as an alternative to Andromeda's Bar, this choice initiates a boss fight against Mimes, Pétank, or Golgra. Mimes must be defeated simultaneously, Pétank utilizes shifting offensive and defensive patterns, and Golgra fights alongside Gestrals. Defeating these bosses grants access to The Campfire, where players can buy Healing Shards, upgrade Auras, and recruit one of three random heroes from the Expedition 33 universe to assist with unique abilities and combat buffs.
Cooperative Scaling and Stat Corrections
Version 2.7.6 resolves bugs where Player 2 actions incorrectly inherited Player 1 statistics. Previous hotfixes fixed issues affecting signature spell cooldowns, Auras checking Player 1 health pools instead of Player 2, and character-specific skills such as Yamat's draconic form, Kiran perks, and Ayla's phantom daggers utilizing incorrect player data. Damage meters and skill effects, including fire dashes, summon damage, and weapon passives, attribute their output and damage numbers to the correct participating player.
Boss and Encounter Adjustments
Boss behaviors and arena mechanics receive targeted fixes across difficulty tiers. The Mime bosses no longer inflict lingering damage or spawn persistent nail attacks after death. Pétank's runaway behavior, clone coloring during berserk phases, and movement particle synchronization are corrected. Zodiac boss encounters and elite modifiers no longer default solely to targeting Player 1, and post-boss invincibility protects both players from lingering area damage.
General Stability and Quality of Life
Quality-of-life additions and interface corrections are included across the 2.7 hotfix series. The Path Liberator telescope functions beyond its initial use, merchant quartz price increases apply correctly to spells, and the missing Clair Obscur DLC menu entry is restored. Additional fixes address softlocks involving Ordan's fury, missing UI elements, and damage attribution errors in the damage meter.
Why this patch matters
Hotfixes 2.7.6 bridges Astral Ascent with Expedition 33 while fixing foundational co-op tracking bugs that affected multiplayer runs.
