Approximately Up Patch 1.0.212 Adds Invisible Blocks and Speeds Up Large Builds
Approximately Up update 1.0.212 introduces two new building components, jetpack adjustments, and faster Ctrl+G grouping. The patch also resolves sound leaks and AMD particle rendering bugs.
Update 1.0.212 for Approximately Up brings targeted quality-of-life adjustments to building mechanics and flight control. The patch introduces two new parts, boosts jetpack performance, and streamlines large construction grouping.
New Components and Settings
The update adds the Initializer component alongside the Invisible Block. Invisible blocks remain visible in Build Mode while disappearing in Fly Mode, though they require the Unlimited components world setting enabled. This addition targets cinematic creators needing hidden structural supports.
Jetpack and Physics Adjustments
Jetpacks receive a slight boost to maximum upward force alongside increased overall capacity for longer flight times before recharging. Additionally, Hover Mode now actively cancels unwanted horizontal velocity to fight environmental forces like wind. Fuel tank joints also possess increased structural strength.
Performance and Bug Fixes
Grouping speed via Ctrl+G runs roughly 2.5 times faster, which cuts lag when handling large builds and fixes an issue where selection outlines remained stuck on screen. Additional fixes resolve missing particles on AMD hardware and eliminate a sound leak on the Glass Half Curved 4 part.
Why this patch matters
Update 1.0.212 provides practical tools for builders, smoothing out construction lag while making flight controls more reliable.
