Apex Legends Update Expands Matchmaking Tests and Fixes Broken Moon Geometry

Apex Legends expands its US-West matchmaking test to Wildcard queues. The update fixes a collision bug on Broken Moon and eliminates persistent audio loops on Gibraltar's skydive emote.

Respawn Entertainment expands ongoing matchmaking tests in Apex Legends. Following initial data from US-West servers, default cross-play and widened skill bands expand into Wildcard matchmaking alongside a pair of targeted bug fixes.

Matchmaking Test Expansion

The matchmaking test utilizing cross-play as the default option runs until the season ends on November 3rd. Beginning October 16th at 10am PT, this test expands to Wildcard matchmaking for all platforms in the US-West region to shorten queue times and tighten skill bands.

Environment and Audio Fixes

The patch resolves a map geometry bug in Terraformer on Broken Moon that permitted players to clip directly into the ground. Additionally, a bug causing Gibraltar's skydive emote audio to persist after landing is fixed.

Why this patch matters

This minor update focuses entirely on gathering regional matchmaking data and clearing up visual and audio bugs.
