Apex Legends Update Adjusts Legends and Weapons

The latest Apex Legends update tweaks several characters, including Seer and Ash, while adjusting weapon stats and headshot damage across the roster. The patch also pulls back ultimate charge gains from knocks and assists when using Accelerated Weapons.

Respawn Entertainment has released an update for Apex Legends focused on balance adjustments for select Legends and weapons. The patch alters travel times for Ash, increases decoy counts for Mirage, buffs health regeneration for Conduit, and speeds up Seer's tactical ability.

Legend Adjustments

Ash sees changes to her ultimate, with the maximum distance travel time increased to 2.5 seconds from 1.4 seconds, and the minimum distance travel time raised to 0.5 seconds from 0.3 seconds. Mirage now creates six decoys during his ultimate instead of five. Conduit gains an increase to her tactical health regeneration per tick, moving up to 4 from 3. Seer receives speed improvements to his tactical ability, with the time to hit targets dropping to 0.8 seconds from 1.4 seconds and the completion time decreasing to 0.9 seconds from 1.0 seconds.

Weapon Balance and SMG Changes

The Hemlok receives an increase of 2 to headshot damage alongside magazine size increases of +3 for the base, white, and blue magazines. The L-Star gains increased vertical and horizontal movement in its recoil pattern alongside a reduced projectile size. The P2020 sees its damage reduced to 24 from 25. The Volt has its hipfire normalized to match other submachine guns. All submachine guns receive an increase to headshot damage.

System and Perk Tweaks

Ultimate charge gained from knocks and assists with Accelerated Weapons drops to 20% from 30%. The update also resolves an issue where assists with Accelerated Weapons occasionally failed to grant additional ultimate charge.

Why this patch matters

This patch shifts the meta for specific characters like Seer and Ash while rebalancing weapon damage profiles and reducing ultimate generation speed.
