Apex Legends Balance Update Buffs Pistols and Adjusts Shotguns

Apex Legends receives a balance patch adjusting the EVA-8 fire rate, Hemlok burst delay, and damage profiles for the P2020, Mozambique, and RE-45.

A balance update for Apex Legends is live, bringing adjustments to several weapons across the arsenal alongside a UI correction for game modes.

Weapon Adjustments

The EVA-8 now has a reduced rate of fire at base and across all bolt tiers. The Hemlok features a reduced burst fire delay between shots. The RE-45 base magazine size increases to 20 from 18, and the white magazine capacity increases to 21 from 20.

Pistol Buffs

The P2020 damage increases to 25 from 24, and its Akimbo hipfire spread is tightened. The Mozambique sees its pellet damage increased to 17 from 16 alongside a tightened pellet spread.

UI Corrections

The image for the Trios-Redemption mode no longer displays Storm Point, reflecting its current status out of map rotation.

Why this patch matters

The patch gives pistols a minor utility boost while reigning in the EVA-8's cycle speed.
